NorthEast Oklahoma Scroller Meetings
When
The club meets on the first Thursday of each month from 7:00 pm until we're finished.
Where
We meet in the shop belonging to a member. Go north on US 169 to 106th St. Go east to 168th street, the second street past the second stop sign. Jim's house is the one on the west side of the street with all the cars in the drive.
What to expect at a Meeting
- After covering all old and new business, we have a show and tell followed by a program and friendly conversation.
- We have refreshments 4 times a year accompanied by a raffle of member provided items to pad the club's coffers.
Projects
Throughout the year, members of the club have the opportunity to make toy cars out of scrap wood to donate to the club. Bring the car bodies to a meeting, and in november we will get together to put wheels on the cars. You also can do some puzzles and other miscelaneous projects- pretty much anything for a kid! At the end of the year, the toys are donated to groups such as the little lighthouse and salvation army. This is a great way to give a little to your community, and give those children joy.
Workshops
Once a year we have a Santa's Workshop on a Saturday in November. Here we put wheels (provided by the club) on the cars made by members during the year. In addition to cars, we count and box up all the other kinds of toys. Then we allocate the boxes to groups chosen by members.
